Roxanne Conlin enabled a solid start for the Institute through her donation
of $5,000 in startup funding. Roxanne is founder and owner of a successful
litigation practice in Iowa and attributes her success, in part, to high
morale and retention of employees through practices such as allowing babies
to come to work as long as their parents wish to bring them. Ten to fifteen
babies have come to work to date. From Roxanne: “We need not and should not follow a workplace model that excludes any of the people that we love. If we care about our own children, we must care about all children.” “Anything that humanizes the workplace improves productivity and there's nothing more ‘human’ than a baby. I think a baby program improves everything.” |
