FACTS AND FINDINGS (continued) Babies cry to communicate. They depend on parents to immediately meet their needs in order to build a secure foundation of trust and emotional stability. There is no benefit for a baby from being intentionally left to cry for any length of time, and leaving a baby alone to cry can result in abnormally high levels in the brain of the stress hormone cortisol, which can result in damage to the baby's developing brain. Breastfeeding provides perfect nutrition, promotes bonding, and has extensive lifelong immune system benefits for as long as breastfeeding continues. Breastfeeding is also a highly effective tool for soothing babies. Structured babies-at-work programs provide extensive benefits to businesses: Enable Earlier Return to Work Improve Loyalty and Retention Increase Teamwork & Cooperation Attract Skilled Employees Increase Morale & Productivity Lower Health Costs Attract New Customers Increase Loyalty from Existing Customers Require Low Implementation Costs |
